Once registered with the practice you will be able to book appointments over the telephone. Additionally our emergency service is only available to registered clients. All of our staff are trained and qualified to the highest standards and are caring pet owners in their own right. We believe that every patient entrusted to our care should be treated as an individual with dignity and respect and this is reflected in our practice ethos.
This is a really fabulous surgery. As a medical professional myself, I often struggle to find surgeries that I am completely happy with, whether that's due to hygiene procedures, treatment protocols or the age of equipment. I was nervous on moving to the area recently, as I was leaving behind a truly excellent vet to do so, and as a breeder, it is vital that my vets are top notch, to ensure the safety of mum and babies.

Focussing exclusively on companion animals Best Friends is superbly positioned to offer complete preventative and interventional healthcare for dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, other small animals and more exotic pets. As well as companion animals we also quite frequently treat wild animals such as hedgehogs and waterfowl; as well as tortoises and ferrets to name but a few.
As well has having highly trained and dedicated professional, caring staff the practice also has superb facilities for looking after your best friend. Designed by a team of specialist veterinary architects, the practice has been purpose built with the welfare of our patients in mind. Separate waiting areas and consulting rooms for dogs and cats to minimise stress to anxious animals.
A simple fixed easy monthly payment by direct debit from as little as 6.95 per month covers all your pet's routine health care for the year including annual vaccination and all worming/flea/tick treatment. A second health assessment six months after vaccination with a vet is also included and two additional nurse appointments for animals over 7 years old.
We offer neutering of dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, rats and other small animals. We neuter male rabbits from 10 weeks and female rabbits from 12 weeks. We have a designated rabbit & rodent ward to ensure their stay with us is as stress free as possible. As dogs come in many different shapes and sizes they all have differing needs when it comes to neutering.

Very disappointed with this vets paid for a kitten pack but when I needed to use the free insurance magically that wasn't supposed to be part of the pack so asked if we could set up a payment plan to end my kitten's suffering they flat out refused so if you want your animals to suffer go to this vets its the one for you if your like me and love animals go to any other vet you can find please.... I will be getting my money back for false advertising!!!!

Best Friends is by far the best veterinary practice we have ever used. All the staff and friendly, knowledgeable and caring and we have always received prompt and excellent service whenever we have needed to take our cats in. Their aftercare is also very good and reassuring and we always get a phone call the day after any major treatment to check all is well. We definitely recommend Best Friends to anyone seeking a vet.

The most positive experience we've had at a vets! Amazing care and attention from John and the team at Best Friends. We have a nervous staffy who others have treated as a bad dog, but not at this practice: she was understood straight away and John couldn't have been more considerate of her needs. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Having taken our dog & cat to Best Friends for the last 8 years, we would wholeheartedly recommend them to anybody. The facility is clean and tidy without being 'corporate', and the atmosphere has a lovely balance of being professional, yet genuinely warm and friendly.
We’ve always felt instantly reassured and comforted if we've had to explore worrying issues for our pets, yet - equally - we've always been able to share a relaxed joke whenever our dog has ended up there for some daft (self-inflicted!) reason. Jon, Kirsty & the whole team are thorough, knowledgeable and genuinely very personable

A first class veterinary practice, recommended to me because of their expertise with rabbits and guinea pigs as well as cats and dogs. Very warm and friendly and willing to go that extra mile to help. Having been involved in animal rescue for several years, I've taken a great many animals to Best Friends. Their dedication and perseverance has been outstanding, nothing is too much trouble. They have separate waiting areas and consulting rooms for dogs and cats (and rabbits etc) to avoid putting animals under extra stress. The support given to us as owners and carers as well as the animals is very
