I am a Psychodynamic Counsellor, and an Accredited Member of the BACP. I hold a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling, a recognised British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited qualification. In addition, I have recently worked as an Assistant Tutor, training students working towards a Certificate in Counselling Skills, supporting and helping the students to fulfill their potential.
It is hard to articulate how much therapy with Gaynor has helped me. It was the first time I had approached therapy and I was unsure what to find. Gaynor provided a calm, safe and reassuring space in which I began to identify harmful patterns of behaviour in myself and others that had left me feeling stressed, trapped, or out-of-control.

Services
For daytime sessions (until 5pm) I charge 55 per 50-minute session. For evening sessions (6pm onwards) and Saturday morning sessions I charge 65 per 50-minute session. The first two consultation sessions are 65 each, regardless of whether daytime or evening. Thanks to Gaynor's warm and caring attitude, she really helped me work through the problems in my life.
The purpose of the first two (consultation) sessions is to find out if we make a good 'match', and to help you decide if you would like to work with me. There is no obligation to return after these first two sessions. If you do feel that we could work together, subsequent sessions are 50 minutes long, and take place at the same regular time, agreed by us, once a week.
Taking the first step towards asking for support can be difficult, but once that first step has been taken, you will hopefully begin an insightful and rewarding process of self-discovery that can lead to improvement in many aspects of your life. Both counselling and psychotherapy can help us deal with our problems in a fresh way and enrich our lives generally.
Thanks to Gaynor's patience and guidance, I was able to challenge long-held perceptions that were no longer benefitting - or ringing true - to me. She really helped me through a difficult period in my life and the things I learned in our time together seem to have stuck permanently. With her supportive and professional manner, Gaynor immediately made me feel at ease.
