Our cuisine is inspired by the Chinese region of Tianjin. In China the name Lu Ban is associated with invention and creativity, and dates back to 504-444 BC when Lu Ban, revered as a Chinese Deity, was a master of craft, invention and innovation. Executive Chef Dave J Critchley and his team develop Lu Ban dishes with an inventive culinary passion, respectful of Chinese food culture and traditions.

Our stunning restaurant menus offer a range of small and large plate dishes, or you may choose to opt for a banquet menu to enjoy a wide selection of flavours. A full wine, beer and cocktail list is available to accompany your dining experience. Our famous bottomless brunch is back every weekend too, and we have a range of events and offers that might take your fancy.

At Lu Ban we serve many dishes that contain ingredients that are listed as allergens. Please ensure you make your table host aware of any dietary requirements.
Perfect for between 10 and 12 guests to simply enjoy a luxury dining experience, or perhaps to celebrate a special occasion. We have several private dining rooms at Lu Ban Restaurant where we serve a selection of banquet menus. As mentioned above, our Tianjn Private Dinng Room seats between 10-12 guests, and our Chef's Table, Food Lab and Wine Room seat 6-14 guests.

Join us for an amazing experience with Violet, one of the best drag artists in Liverpool over brunch, with gorgeous food by Chef Dave Critchley, inclusive drinks and the cocktail of the week. Performing across the city, if you've seen her before, you know that you're in for excellent entertainment.
This is a full table service brunch with continuous servings of gorgeous Chinese food, and inclusive drinks plus the cocktail of the week, you will have an amazing time with friends and family. Radio DJs Sie Austin and Iain T join us every weekend to give you the latest sounds and great atmosphere.

The hype here is well deserved. Started with pre dinner cocktails at the bar. It was a bit quiet during my midweek 3:30 booking so the place lacked atmosphere but I hardly notice because the food was so good. The presentation is a work of art and the taste - divine. 👌🏻

I've never been to a restaurant like this. I felt like I was in a club the whole night, shouting to the other diners and staff so they can hear me. The best part of the night was when some of the other customers left so we could actually hear each other talk.
The whole experience made me irratable and deflated.
Some of the food was good but most was mediocre. Some of the staff were friendly and nice and some were not so much.
I think this kind of place would be okay for some but if you have any kind of reasonable expectation then swerve it.

Waited a long time to visit Lu Ban and now I have been .. it was too long If Lu Ban is on your go do list …. Get it booked
We done the Sunday Bottomless brunch with Dolly It was fantastic
7 course taster -… outstanding food Cocktails - lovely Dolly - great entertainment Staff - very attentive

Very disappointing went for set brunch and everything was very salty and beige i was served siu mai with bits of bone in sliced dry turkey day after boxing day and steamed rice with lots of chilli oil. Asked for main menu and was told the kitchen does not have available but to come another time

Wow. Booked the Bottomless Brunch on Sunday as a treat before the Liverpool match.
Was blown away by the food, drinks and the service.
House cocktail was so good.
Pork Belly with a pear puree and greens and Tempira prawns a particular highlight.
Enjoyed so much that we have booked Chefs table end of September. Can't wait!

Visited here with friends at the start of the Christmas period and decided we’d all go for the Festive menu. We were told that we either all had to go off the festive taster or all go for the small plates. Nevertheless, this initial hiccup was resolved and Wow! What an excellent pan-Asian fine dining experience, couldn’t fault the standard of food that was sent out, such a beautiful variety of flavours. Very nice stylish interior and a great location right in the heart of Liverpool’s booming Brewery Village. Would recommend to a friend looking for a venue for a special occasion.
