First Steps Nursery was established in 1998 and is a family run business. First Steps Nursery is pleased to offer a good full day care provision located in Llandrindod Wells. The nursery is very welcoming, attractive and offers a home from home environment. Choosing the right nursery for your child is one of the first most Important decisions you will make as a parent/ carer.

Services
English main language spoken - Basic Welsh is introduced to all children and other cultures are introduced by celebrating festivals. Welsh is spoken throughout the day, we have a session every afternoon where Welsh is the only language we use. All staff hold appropriate childcare qualifications, enhanced DBS, First Aid Certificates, Food hygiene, Child protection, Manual handling, Health and safety.
Each of the nursery rooms has been designed to maximise learning opportunities for the children. The rooms are all bright, colourful and designed to create a cheerful exciting environment for the children. We have a fantastic range of stimulating toys and equipment all appropriate for the ages and stages of the children.
All nursery Policies and procedures are kept in a folder in the hallway for parents to access when needed. It is important that the parent / carer and the staff work together to help children settle in the group and develop confidence to participate in all the activities offered. Please read our settling in policy which explains our thoughts clearly.
Just a little note to say a Big Thank you to you all at First Steps Nursery. Thank you for everything you have done for our three boys, its given them all a good stepping stone ready for school. Thank you very much for taking care of me for all these years and teaching me so wonderful songs and experiences.
Our Blue Bell wood Forest Schools site is all about enabling children to explore and experience the natural world through hands-on opportunities in the outdoors. The concept has proven to develop the self esteem and confidence of pre-school children through opportunities that involve creativity, working together and child-led learning.
