Couch's
Due to recent behaviours of a minority of our guests, failing to remember they have a reservation with ourselves. Couch's Great House Restaurant is situated in the quaint fishing village of Polperro Cornwall. Opened in 2004 in the heart of the village, under the direction of Richard McGeown (Executive Head Chef) who has drawn from his past experience of working with country's most famous names.

After honing his culinary skills under Gordon Ramsay, Marco Pierre White and Raymond Blanc, Couch's has given a platform for Richard to express himself. In order to create a relaxing & enjoyable environment for all guests. The Restaurant, with the exception of assistance dogs, does not permit dogs or children under the age of seven.
Services
Leave London on the M4 and continue until J20, take the exit and merge onto M5 Westbound. Continue west and at Exeter take the signs to Plymouth bringing you onto the A38, at Plymouth cross the Tamar bridge and continue on A38 until roundabout signposted to Looe. Upon approaching Polperro, you will pass a petrol station on your left, before eventually (approximately 2 miles) descending down to the village.

We had a thoroughly lovely time at Coache's in August 2019. The service was faultless, with the Maitre D' and the owner (& chef) himself both ensuring that guests were warmly welcomed andAmazing value at £45 for five courses, but the food and wine are the real stand out, next to the service. We got brilliant advice on choosing the perfect wines and felt welcomed throughout.

A spectacular Rack of Lamb springs to the forefront of my mind after a wonderful family celebration meal. Each dish was presented and tasted exceptional, a faultless experience provided by Richard and his staff. Joyful.

Excellent! The starter was so delicious, I wanted to camp down there and spend the evening having tomato and basil soup with black truffle oil and the most heavenly rosemary and sea salt bread! We moved on to equally delicious mains and desserts. The service was great!
Pity we're not here another night. We'd love to return to Couch's for another meal.

Very popular so service can be a little slow. Don't let that put you off. Superb fish in (too) large portions. Scallops with soft black pudding highly recommended. Wine list very good too.

We enjoyed a superb dining experience at Couch's restaurant yesterday evening. We were welcomed by the staff on entering and they remained attentive throughout the meal. The food was beautiful. We chose three courses and can honestly say it would be hard to select a favourite course. This really is a special place, with a great ambience that leaves you wanting to go back for more

Myself and 10 friends and family had a wonderful meal here on New Years day 2017. The staff were extremely friendly and the service was wonderful. The food was an absolute delight and the chef was happy to accommodate special requests. All in all we had a lovely evening with great wine and superb food. Thanks Couch's for making our evening one to remember. We all had a wonderful time and will defiantly visit again when in beautiful Polperro.
