I booked a cab from A1 and got picked up by a over confident road man who insisted he knew were he was going to then find out he went to wrong place. Then he attempted at charge me an extra £2 for the correction. Once I refused to pay he starting to shout and be aggressive telling me to "Get out" and "dont make me go back to my old days". At that moment I got out the cab because I was in total shock and wanted to call the police. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS CAB SERVICE, THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL AND ACT AS GANG. You have been warned. Booked a taxi from work place to home. The driver attempted the payment twice via card and said the payment had not gone through and took cash as well. But in reality he took three times the payment and upon informing the office they have not been professional at all and is delaying the reruns. Never on time. Denies payment by card all the time. Zero recommendation

The worst taxi service I have ever come across in my life. They do not even deserve the 1 star. Never on time, rude and unprofessional. I have lost track of the amount of trains I have missed due to this company being late resulting in me having to buy new train tickets and loosing out on money. I prebook taxis 24hrs in advance and when you call the company to make them aware you will miss your train they do not seem to care, nor offer you any form of compensation and still charge you full fares for taxis. Some taxi drivers are nice, unfortunately the majority of them are very rude. No manners. Most of them are on speakers while talking on the phone so loudly . Horrible service and I have been using A1 for years, several times a week only because they suppose to be the biggest taxi company in Bedford, even so, in the least few months in several occasions they have been making wait 40 minutes to get a taxi to collect me. I wouldn’t recommend their service to anybody

Critical: Punctuality
A1 used to be the best cab service in Bedford; however few times I booked with them recently, the cabs arrived late, nearly missed my flight last time(and I booked well in advance), drivers blaming the office staff. I feel like the company replaced their operators to the completely incompetent ones.

Used the app; boom a cab for 8:10 am to get me to work it does t show up until 8:35 making me late for work... several times I’ve used the app to boom specific timings and every time they have showed up late. Why have an app to allow you to book a cab for a specific time when they never show up on time? If I phone I get told there’s a half hour wait at least. Like what?!

Called to book a taxi asked for a mini bus or a people carrier for 2 stops told £15 and 20mins arrived within a few minutes great only sent a car not so great.. called them back told them what had happened was told would be an extra £10 when queried this lady was rude obviously wasn't happy she'd messed up told us she'd cancelled it and then hung up amazing customer service not!!! Don't use!!
