The Columbia Hotel was originally six Victorian town houses built in 1870s. Some rooms have furnishings and decor of that era. At The Columbia Hotel, your satisfaction is our priority. The Columbia Hotel is independent, and proud to be different to the national chain hotels. In our lobby, we have a Bar where you can enjoy drinks as well as a restaurant where we serve Breakfast and Dinner.
We offer complimentary parking and Wi-Fi for your convenience. However, our parking works as a first come first serve bases. The hotel needs updating but the new management is going to be doing this in the near future, the people who own it now are very nice and nothing was to much trouble. The breakfast was great.

Very disappointing stay here at the columbia,
After booking for a week we left after 2 days as there was nobody awake to make our breakfast 2 mornings in a row despite paying for it in advance,
Our rooms were also disappointing and very loud. My cold water tap wouldnt turn off without using brute force and meant a constant dripping, the bath plug i couldnt remove from the plug hole after having a bath,
And at night could hear the tv in the room below me, aswell as all the people drinking and making noise downstairs and banging doors most of the night, and would find empty cans and bottles in

Quieter at the weekends, usually room to park in the car park. Budget hotel, what you would expect for the price. During the week the hotel guests are mainly tradesmen and the small car park is quickly filled. Guest then park on the short residential street with large vans parked on both sides of the road often completely blocking the footpaths.
