Owing to our location, it isn't surprising that we have a huge Land Rover clientele starting with local farms many years ago to the now vast array of modern Land Rovers we look after. Land Rovers are now some of the most advanced vehicles on the road today and the latest tools, diagnostic equipment and training are a must to be able to maintain them effectively.
As manufacturers compete with each other for performance, economy and gadgetry as well as abiding by each new European emission standard we inevitably end up with system and component failures. An infinite range of faults can bring on Engine management, ABS, Traction Control and many more warning lights.
Our dedicated body shop and team have experience and ability to paint and repair anything that comes through the door be it accident damage, corrosion related, or restoration. Our spray booth represents the latest in technology for filtration, heating, dust and silicone avoidance strategies. We have the advantage of being able to undertake all processes in-house, from panel beating, welding and fabrication though to paint preparation.
We have an unparalleled reputation in the restoration of classic and vintage cars from nut and bolt restoration, individual panel correction to engine and carburetor rebuilding. Our welding and fabrication booth contains a vast array of old school and modern equipment that enables us to recreate original panel building methods.

Powell's of Ripon is a brilliant garage that have always provided the best possible service to all of the cars that I have owned. They are the only garage that I truly trust and know that they have your best interests at heart. Most other garages would try to rip you off at any opportunity but that isn't the case with Powells

I had a fantastic experience with Powell's. i bought my current car at this garage and have recently had it serviced here too. I cannot fault the garage and Nick was especially helpful in helping me get the car I wanted and by informing me of everything I needed to to know. They go above and beyond and I would highly Reccommend to anyone.

We took our Range Rover to Powell’s after a complete fiasco of trying to fixed at other garages. It had a persistent oil leak which even “specialist” Land Rover garages couldn’t get to the bottom of. After a few days at Powells and we have not had a problem with it since. They were also very informative and illustrated exactly the problem prior to commencing work so we were regularly informed about costs, how much work and parts would be involved. We have since taken it back for its MOT and brakes Powell’s as we were very impressed with how they fixed the oil leak - which was not straight

Fantastic service from really intelligent and interested mechanics. Took my Punto there with an unexplained, intermittent engine cut out issue. Had been to two previous auto electric garages and big bills with no answers. A couple of hours labour and Nick had checked all the usual things to no avail, he then spent his own time researching issues with puntos and found that the fuse box was a superseded part. An easy fix that other specialists had not worked out after hundreds of pounds worth of bills. We now take all our vehicles there. Could not recommend more highly

Been going to Powells for around 10 years and they are excellent. Helpful, honest and definitely not expensive plus they do a really, really thorough job. Just had my Z4 serviced - £ 150. If I had taken that to a BMW dealership then I bet it would be triple that at least. One last word. Was in a taxi a couple of years ago in Ripon and the taxi driver was bemoaning the fact that his employers had moved their mtce business to Halfords of all people (Kwik Fit are equally rubbish in my experience). One very unhappy taxi driver as he valued having a safe vehicle maintained by Powells as important.
