Last minute booking and one of a few hotel rooms available in Wales on the day. We landed lucky and the room and hotel were superb!!! We were checked in quickly and shown to our room - a really nice touch. We were allocated Room 1 with a free standing bath, which was a lovely touch. The bed was super comfy and we slept really well.
The breakfast was one of the best ever and we will return if we are in the area again and try the restaurant.

The staff were very friendly & accommodating and the room was clean, but unfortunately the food (dinner) was average and there was no hot water. We were told to wait 40mins for it to heat, which we did and when it did it only lasted a minute before getting cool. A bit of a shame as we had paid extra to get the hot tub & had been hiking all day so was really looking forward to having a bath, however we couldn’t even get a warm shower!

We were staying nearby and visited for a drink and possibly food. The lady who serves us was disinterested and rude. When we returned a pint to the bar as it didn't taste right, she was off hand. I understand that the first beer off can taste a bit dodgy, but didn't expect the attitude I was given. We found the drinks very pricey - pint of carling and a small white wine and soda came in at just over £9. The first pint of soda water I bought cost £1.80, the second £1?? All in all, a beautiful pub with great undercover outdoor seating, which could be amazing if only the staff were a little more
