I am in Norfolk visiting my Dad, during the journey down from London on Friday evening my car suffered a miss firing engine. I phoned postmill garage on the Saturday morning at 08.45 and they were able to fit my car in, diagnose the problem an fix it all before 12.00. A fantastic service and all at a great price.

Postmill Garage is a DVSA (formally VOSA) authorised MOT Testing Station. Previously located at Postmill Drive, Wymondham, we have now moved to Unit 4, Chestnut Drive, Wymondham, near Norwich, in Norfolk. Since 1985 we have developed our expertise and the trust of our loyal customers, offering our professional and reliable servicing, repairs, air conditioning recharging, and electronic diagnostics to the local community.
It may affect the vehicle's safety, put other road users at risk or have an impact on the environment. Repair it immediately. The service to check the MOT history of a vehicle has been updated to reflect the changes. Cars, vans, motorcycles and other light passenger vehicles won't need to have an MOT if they're over 40 years old and have not been substantially changed.
We recommend that servicing your car every 12 months or every 12,000 miles (depending on which comes sooner). A regularly service car can help it to run smoothly, as well as efficiently. We understand servicing a car is an unwanted expense, but a regular service can in fact save you much more by reducing the risk of unforeseen breakdown risks and longer lasting parts such as brakes or tyres.
A car service can include anything from a simple oil and filter change, to checking all lights and tyre pressures. Or more in-depth work would include checking the spark plugs and changing if necessary, the pollen filter, radiator caps, coolant hoses. We would look at your wheel bearings, exhaust system, battery condition.
Whilst timely servicing is very important, there are certain checks and maintenance you can do regularly to help keep your car in good condition. Check your oil levels around about every two weeks and ensure the levels are between the minimum and the maximum on your dipstick. If you're going on a long journey, you should top up if needed there too.

My 85 year old father took his car here to get an mot and oil change. When they replaced the oil filter they didn’t take out the old rubber washer (something I discovered later, and a very basic, amateur mistake ). This then caused the oil light to come on. He took it back and they said it was the timing chain, which they replaced (£800) and still the oil light came on... and so on... The unnecessary expense for my parents was shocking but the stress of it all was probably worse.
Always best to take a car to a dealership I reckon. It is a bit more but at least they know what they are doing

Booked MOT, dropped car off for MOT, told 45 minutes roughly. 2 hours later I CALLED THEM, for an update, to be told car had “Failed” on something .GOV states isn’t a failure, tried to explain this over the phone but was met with a rude attitude and told that I needed to put the “issue” right before they would pass it. Turned up to to put the “issue” right to find the guy on the phone to DVLA enquiring about the issue, came off the phone and I was told the issue was no longer an issue and handed a Pass Certificate. No apology, or recognition of the attitude over the phone. Whilst

Do not recommend. Cross threaded the sump plug during a service, noticed their mistake but rather than be honest and tell us they just unscrewed it added an additional washer and forced it in. Obviously realising this was not the best solution to the problem they didn't tell us a thing about it, a little while later we have an oil leak and need a new sump on the bottom of the engine.

Absolutely fantastic service. We were able to book our car in extra quick time after the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. We were quoted a very good price for the required repairs. The staff were excellent and the service was excellent. I cannot recommend this garage enough, thank you.

Took my husband's car here to have rear reflector looked at after main dealer had quoted me a ridiculous price for a new reflector. Turns out it doesn't need a new part as its not broken, just needed a repair. Cant fault these guys, sorted the problem out swiftly. Will definitely be using this garage again. Friendly staff.

Cannot rate Postmill Garage highly enough! The staff were so friendly and helpful, and honestly couldn’t do enough. They were facilitating with timings to drop off and collect my car, kept me updated all of the way, and gave the best customer service by far from any garage I’ve ever been to. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning for all of my car needs!
