The Beeches
Here at The Beeches we pride ourselves on being a "Home from Home".We believe passionately in creating a warm, friendly and relaxing environment for our residents and work hard at building open and trusting relationships both with our residents and their families. The key to this is effective communication.

Families are always fully involved in the daily care of their loved ones and any decision making in their future care. We have several communal areas including 4 lounges, a bright spacious dining area and a reminiscence room. We have a lawned garden, a courtyard with a water feature and 2 patio areas all of which are safely enclosed.
Services
Since then, they have carried out vast improvements to the home environment and the service as a whole. They are both very much "hands on" in the day-to-day running of the home and the care of the residents and they are supported in this by the Home Manager, Julie Edwards.

The large and friendly Care Team includes Senior Carers, Carers, Cooks, Domestics/Laundry Staff, Activity Co-ordinators, an Office Manager, Handyman, Gardener and Hairdresser all working together to provide a high level of service and a happy home environment.I have worked in the care industry since leaving the Armed Forces in 1994.
We will work to improve the quality of life for the residents by offering a high standard of support and care. We will enable people within the home to develop individual lifestyles, lead as normal a life as possible and become a valued member of the home.

We will promote independence by means of resident inclusion by offering a choice in all aspects of the resident's lives/care planning, to enable each individual to maximise their potential and individual competence. We will create opportunities for residents to express their own individuality whilst acknowledging their views and wishes through direct contact or advocacy.
Not all people are the same! Some people with a dementia type illness benefit from a structured approach to meal times BUT some people need to eat when they feel hungry. We provide a caf type service from 7.30am - 6pm every day of the year. This includes a variety of hot breakfast until 10.30am every day, as they say "this is the most important meal of the day".
The main part of the building is Victorian and retains its original splendour - long bay windows, high ceilings with elaborate cornicing, an elegant oak staircase and a beautiful Minton tiled hallway. These features will often evoke strong memories for our residents. The building has been likened to a Victorian seaside hotel on more than one occasion!
It's very important that people with dementia are treated with respect. It is important to remember that a person with dementia is still a unique and valuable human being, despite their illness. When a person with dementia finds that their mental abilities are declining, they often feel vulnerable and in need of reassurance and support.

We had to make a decision to havevmother enter a home where her needs could be catered fir. She had lived with us for two years but due to her loosing mobility it was no longer possible so after a search of homes in the area, some that stunk but had excellent CQC rating and others we wouldnt put a pet in we found the beeches.
The beeches isnt a home its your relatives new home with 24/7 care instantly on hand.
Ed,Julie,Julie ,Sarah to name only four are Brilliant.
Mother loved being there and at the end we couldnt have asked for more proffessional care they did everything to look after her needs
