Oulton Abbey was founded on its current site in 1853 and the Grade II* Pugin Abbey Church was completed in 1854 to provide a home for the community of Benedictine nuns. Hospitality is central to the Benedictine tradition and that tradition and duty of welcoming guests is at the heart of our mission to provide a friendly, welcoming and efficient service to all who come to Oulton Abbey Care Home.
Our new 49-bed Care Home opened in Summer 2017 and provides both Residential and Nursing Care. Our home is bright, light and spacious and is arranged over two floors. We have gardens and quiet areas too for our residents to enjoy. All our bedrooms are furnished to the highest standards, although residents are encouraged to bring in treasured items to personalise their rooms.
