My Mother went to Needwood house in August 2016. Prior to that she had been living at home with my father and they had been helped by carers. After a short stay in hospital she was admitted to Needwod because of her behaviour becoming more challenging due to Dementia.
When someone is admitted into a care home it is a great change and a shock to the system both to the patient and the relatives it is something completely new and the unknown is always a little frightening and I was unsure what to expect.
Needwood was spotlessly clean, warm, nice simple rooms ,hand rails everywhere and LOTS of staff

Excellent care provided for dad. He settled immediately and is always clean and smart. Staff take him out daily and nothing is too much trouble, communication with family is excellent and dad is thriving. Best home I have been in, it's all about patient care. Yes parking can be difficult occasionally but surely the quality of care is THE most important thing not about the parking when good care is hard to find these days! Sue K.

We as a family consider ourselves fortunate that our mother is cared for here. The quality of care is excellent, and the kindness of the staff dealing with her is a pleasure to see. She is happy here, and whilst often confused and occasionally aggressive, by the nature of the illness, the staff manage admirably. She is confident and is happy to interact. The cleanliness of the home and quality of food and drink is all that could be hoped for, with choices and help to eat if needed. Her medical needs are picked up and managed very well, even when not cooperating, and the care is all we could have
