Services
It is very normal to not know what to do when someone dies. The following information explains what happens when someone dies in a hospital, a care home, a hospice, at home or in a public place. Whether a death has been expected or not, contact the GP or surgery to attend and confirm the death. Once a doctor has certified the death you can ask us to move the body of the deceased.
A member of the nursing staff will contact a doctor to attend and certify death to enable a Certificate Of Death to be issued. Once the doctor has attended we can then move the deceased to our Chapel of Rest. The nursing or care staff will inform the family when and where the Certificate Of Death may be collected.
Immediately after a death can be a difficult time and thinking of all the places to inform is sometimes the last thing you feel like doing. Over the years we have found the following list has been helpful for our customers. Many of the items on the list are vital if the deceased lived alone and leaves an empty house.
You can contact us to talk about arranging a funeral at any time. We know every funeral is deeply personal and unique and it our privilege to help you honour someone's final wishes. There are many options available to you and we can be involved as much or as little as you need. We will always be honest and transparent with you, providing you with clear advice and a full quote.
Funeral planning relieves your loved ones of the burden of having to find funds to pay for a funeral at a time when they may be feeling overwhelmed and vulnerable. A funeral plan can be a thoughtful and responsible approach to a sensitive subject. We will be very pleased to assist you in arranging a plan with Golden Charter which is the UK's main Pre-Paid Funeral Plan company.

I can not thank the team enough for the excellent care they gave to my late husband Bill, and the lovely personal service by George. They supported me so much in giving Bill the funeral that wanted.
I must also thank Christine for her support and compassion shown to me during this time.
You truly are wonderful people
