The Jody Thomas Driving School was formed in 2009, operating initially in the Tunbridge Wells area, after Jody qualified as instructor with the top Grade possible. Since then Jody has recruited another 7 instructors to help with the steady increase in customers due to our successful teaching styles, which has resulted in thousands of customers passes.
Our growing reputation as the leading driving school in Tunbridge Wells has allowed us to increase the areas in which we teach meaning that we now offer lessons from Maidstone to Crowborough and Sevenoaks to Uckfield in both manual and automatic cars.

Services
Pass Plus - Pass Plus is a practical training course that takes at least 6 hours and is for drivers to improve their skills and drive more safely. Motorway Driving - Currently learner drivers are not allowed to drive on the motorway, so it is essential you take some motorway driving lessons before venturing out for the first time.
It's really important that not only are you being taught in the correct manner and with the correct methods but that you're comfortable and relaxed during your lessons. We know you'll be nervous, not just on your first lesson but also subsequent lessons, and so we'll do our best to relieve any stress that you may feel!
We are pleased to announce that we now have the facilities to teach customers who are looking for automatic driving lessons. The cars we use are the Hyundai i10 and i30 Active and Toyota Yaris, fitted with all optional extras for maximum comfort. They are dual-controlled for safety and are both great cars to learn in given their size and manoeuvrability.
As a learner driver you are not allowed by law to drive on a motorway. The thought of driving on a motorway can therefore cause a lot of fear. However motorways are statistically the safest roads and are an important part of driving. With the help of our fully qualified instructors we can help you gain confidence to feel ready for the challenge of motorway driving.
When learning to drive many people may not get to experience night driving, especially if their lessons have been taken during the summer months. One of the main differences between night driving and driving during the day is the difference in visibility. At night your vision will be reduced and it will often be difficult to see the road ahead, as well as signs giving you valuable information.

I cannot recommend Jody enough. I had some previous experience driving (in the US) however, Jody managed to get me ready for my test in less than two weeks! And I passed with only two minors. His style is excellent - clear, patient, friendly and thorough. He’s also very understanding and flexible with timings, as I had just had a newborn and needed to get a lot of lessons in within a short space of time. Thank you Jody!!

My thanks to Andy for his encouragement & patience in teaching me to drive. Leaving it rather late in my life to learn & with a lot of self doubt, Andy helped me to believe in myself & with his guidance & tuition I passed my theory test first time & passed the practical test today at my 2nd attempt. After my instructor Andrea shouted and swore at me for not knowing how to drive my opinion of this school was pretty low. I was pleasantly surprised at how apologetic the instructor was, as well as the owner of the school, who promptly offered to teach me themselves. After giving my availably, however, I never heard back, despite chasing. Shame, shame, shame.
Not professional and zero customer service. I would not recommend Jody Thomas to anyone.
