Magazine Wood is the award-winning luxury hotel style boutique bed and breakfast on the North Norfolk coast. One of the best places to stay if you want time to yourself and for a few days to escape from the world. We bridge the gap between a friendly country house B&B and a beautiful boutique hotel.
Three private luxury guest suites are all independent from each other and have fabulous interiors. The emphasis is always on privacy and relaxation with every room enjoying a private entrance and terrace. For many this is their romantic 'home away from home' on the North Norfolk coast by the sea with private breakfasts, fabulous views and beautiful beaches nearby.

We offer about one guest in five our availability via online travel agents and hotel booking sites such as Booking.com. This is generally for mid-week stays during quieter times of the year or when we have some late availability for those who want to enjoy the Norfolk Coast. We never offer weekend, holiday or prime time availability and our room prices are always better when you book via our website.
It may be best to check first. We started compiling this guide from our guests comments way back in 2008. Since that time it has become the go-to 'insider' guide to the best pubs and restaurants on the North Norfolk coast. Whether you are enjoying a stay at Magazine Wood or simply visiting our beautiful coastline, we hope you find it useful.

What a beautiful place. Having a room with such a fabulous view is rare. Worthy of 5 stars as everything has been carefully thought of. Wonderful continental breakfast, although cooked breakfast available on request. Coeliac breakfast was lovely. Pip the owner very welcoming and friendly. Situated in a beautiful part of Norfolk. Would highly recommend.

A perfect relaxing retreat where everything is done just right. Following a recommendation from a friend, this was our second visit to Magazine Wood. Pip and Jonathan have thought of everything. The rooms are spacious and well appointed (we stayed in Walkers), overlooking a lovely garden with chickens roaming freely, and plenty of birds to watch. We even saw a woodpecker. The Walkers and Coast rooms both have a private veranda where you can sit and watch the birds go by whatever the weather. The online concierge service has everything you need to plan your stay with recommendations on the best

Stayed here nearly 2 years ago. It was February and freezing. The accommodation was really nice but the owner kept turning the heating off. When I complained he said he would bring a heater, at 130 pounds a night I said no. We booked in for 2 nights but only stay one. Different place in the summer probably but if you're open in the winter you've have got to cater for all weather's? Shame really because it spoilt our break. Never reviewed before and I know its 2 years ago but been on my mind ever since 👎👎👎
