King's Lynn is a little know gem of immense architectural and historic importance. The town was a major medieval and Georgian trading port, second only to London and Liverpool. What stories Bank House could tell! A stunning Grade II * listed Georgian townhouse, described by Sir Nikolaus Pevsner as 'one of the finest houses in King's Lynn', Bank House was built in the early 18th Century for one of King's Lynn's richest merchants.
Bank House's 12 stunning bedrooms have been individually decorated with great style, mixing old and new, Designer's Guild fabrics and antique furniture, Regency cartoons and modern paintings, state of the art bathrooms and Georgian panelling. Each bedroom has its own character. Some are huge, some smaller, most rooms have river views, others look out onto King's Lynn's iconic Custom House.
Bank House is a unique and elegant but relaxed place to celebrate any special occasion; birthdays, anniversaries, weddings or simply a gathering of friends and family. Private parties can use our beautiful Boardroom. We are happy to tailor the event to suit your budget and requirements, and can offer anything from a five course celebration feast to a stand up buffet or a celebration afternoon tea.
We pride ourselves at Bank House on the quality of food, drink and service we offer and are delighted to now be able to offer this same quality product for outside events. Whether you are entertaining 10 or 100 or more, whether at home or at a different venue, and whatever your budget, we would be delighted to step in and take care of all the catering side of the event.

Underneath the house extensive barrel roofed vaults extend down to the river where wine imported from the continent would have been stored before being shipped on to Cambridge, Ely or the North.

Very limited with the choice of ales, so I settled for a Shipyard. Quite a different pint compared to Wetherspoon's (quite lively), but it worked. Served by the sociable and pleasant Sam who is a very keen member of the team.
If I return to the town, I'll certainly go back.
Enjoy the view from the beer garden.

Stayed 1 night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff are very very friendly. Quaint hotel located on the quay in Kings Lynn and very handy for exploring this lovely town.
Good menu choice for the evening meal and very enjoyable.
Breakfast also good choice and again very good.
Make sure you "feed" the parking meter promptly at 8am in the morning as traffic warden around very promptly!
Ask to see the subterranean cellars, very interesting.
Highly recommend this lovely hotel .
