The vision captures the strength and uniqueness of the Puriton community; how we can achieve excellence for all when we work collaboratively. We aim to INSPIRE our community through exciting opportunities which will ignite a love for learning. We aim to develop the power of RESILIENCE, so that we can embrace challenge and never give up.
We aim to understand and act out our RESPONSIBILITIES, so that we can have peace and respect within the world. We aim to continue to ASPIRE to become the very best we can and reach our ultimate goals and dreams for success in the future. If we aim to educate upon our Vision and Core Values, then the future will bring great transformation and change lives for the better.

Services
Puriton Primary School is situated in spacious and attractive grounds in the village of Puriton, just 3 miles north of Bridgwater. We have an extensive outdoor area, play apparatus, a small allotment garden, woodland pond and nature areas, a willow story circle, an outdoor classroom shelter, as well as a large school playground for days when it is too wet to be on the field.
We at Puriton Primary School take our Safeguarding responsibilities very seriously. This means that we continue to ensure that everyone working in the school has successfully completed the necessary clearances and training to enable them to work with our children.
Our duties include safeguarding children from radicalisation and extremism - we have a responsibility to protect children from extremist and violent views, the same way we help to protect them from drugs or child sexual exploitation (CSE) for example.Maintaining a high profile of Safeguarding across the school so that all children can learn and thrive in a safe environment.

We are proud that our school is an inclusive school which caters for a wide range of children's needs as well as abilities. SEND is coordinated by Miss Williams. It is a leadership and managerial role and she works alongside class teachers and support staff to guide and oversee provision for pupils with an identified special educational need.
Across the Trust, every school has established its own Learning Hub which provides a differentiated programme of Continuous Self Professional Development, which we refer to as 'CsPD'. Each school's Learning Hub CsPD Programme is specifically designed so that staff can personalise their professional development to collaborate with colleagues and share what they are developing with the wider staff community and beyond.
We believe that education is about preparing our children for the ever-changing modern world and equipping them with the skills they are going to need to face the challenges ahead. For our children, it starts when they are young - where their appetite and zest for learning is unrivalled.
Drawing upon the local area wherever possible, we provide a creative and flexible curriculum that's truly fit for the 21st century - an education that really engages and motivates children; that awakes in them a real love for learning that will carry through the rest of their lives; an education that instils respect for oneself and for others in community and the wider world, irrespective of faith, traditions or cultures.
