I studied at Cleveland College of Art & Design in Middlesbrough for 5 years altogether - 2 years BTEC National Diploma in Graphic Design and 3 years B.A (HONS) in Photography. With 5 years study knowledge and experience in the creative industry and over 10 years knowledge and experience in administration, I decided to put everything together and build a business.
I was made redundant from my administration position and took the opportunity to create something that I have had my heart set on for years! I have been a full time photographer for over 9 years now and continue to update my skills and knowledge which is important in this profession. I work very well with people of all ages and I really enjoy my studio sessions with children from newborn upwards.

This is a great way to celebrate your childs 1st birthday! These sessions start with a few portraits to capture and record some memories of your child - parents and siblings can be involved in this part. We then move on to the messy part and allow your child to dig in to their cake - they may be a little apprehensive at first but soon get fully involved or they may just get stuck in from the start!
Newborn shoots are best between 7-21 days old, and to guarantee your session it is best to book whilst you are still pregnant, usually after your 20 weeks scan. You will be allocated a provisional date and then when your baby arrives we can confirm the date of the session. If your baby has already arrived, do still get in touch as I do sometimes have last minute sessions available.
Sitter sessions - this is when your baby is able to sit up unaided and they can usually do this from around 6-8 months old. They are more interactive with their surroundings and smile meaning that I can capture some amazing images. Arranging your session and everything that comes afterwards is easy.
Mel is so amazing! She was so patient and kind throughout my wedding day, listened to every detail and was just excellent! I would 100% recommended her, when I received my wedding pictures and book I was blown away at how beautiful and good quality they are! I love them thank you so much!
