The Brown Cow has been serving as a hostelry in Bingley for over a hundred years. This family run pub provides traditional & innovative home cooked food, individually selected wines & award winning cask conditioned ales from local brewer, Timothy Taylor's. We are one of the few pubs serving all seven beers.
Situated just two minutes walk from the town centre, alongside the river with views under the bridge, The Brown Cow is the perfect choice to drink, dine and unwind. We believe supporting local suppliers is what gives us our edge and there is no exception with the beers. Serving all of Timothy Taylor's award winning cask ales, a loyal regular trade can be seen at our bar.

Services
We pride ourselves on our locally sourced food that we make fresh, in house, with our own fair hands. We use only the finest ingredients to create, what we consider to be, traditional food with very innovative design. We also like to try and keep every body happy with a large meat selection, vegetarian options and ever changing specials boards to really show off the flair.
We believe that supporting our local suppliers is what gives us our edge, and this is no exception with the beers. With all seven of Timothy Taylor's award winning casks, a loyal regular trade can be seen at the bar. A well-balanced, genuine Yorkshire Bitter, with a full measure of maltiness and hoppy aroma - Boltmaker is first choice for the discerning drinker - on both sides of the Pennines.
Being situated in such a great place, we have numerous walking & cycling routes near by that can be undertaken by those wanting a gentle stroll to others looking for more of a challenge. As for the cycling, a short climb up the hill will get you to some of the best routes in the county heading right up over Cullingworth moor and up towards Haworth.
We're a family run, Bingley based operator, passionate about food, drink, hospitality, and anything else to do with pubs. We started the business in 2014 at The Brown Cow in Bingley. We built up a steady trade there and now it's well known for it's great Timothy Taylor's beers, amazing (and enormous) steak pies and the best burgers around.

In these extraordinary times I was tempted to hold back. However I’m mindful that the public use this site to make decisions about where they spend their harm earned cash. So I’m being honest. The food was warm, a plus. The starter chicken terrine was a jellified grey lump which resembled something the cat played a role in. Unappetising but in fairness tasted ok, wouldn’t recommend. The main (Xmas dinner) very uninteresting/bland. Desert ok nothing special.
But far and above what stood out was the terrible service. The staff were surly bordering on aggressive from the outset with a ‘can’t

Went here for lunch for our first visit. Pub was nice, staff polite and quick to take drink orders. Menu was up on wall so easy to see. Our server was great at checking ingredients to ensure no dairy. My partner and I ordered local sausage sandwich with red onion relish and mustard meyo with fries and onion rings. Sausages were lovely, fries crisp and onion rings tasty. Will definitely visit again
