Elms Barn is a beautiful example of traditional English craftsmanship and it serves as a perfect setting for your wedding celebration. Licensed for civil ceremonies and marriages for up to 120 guests and a further 80 evening guests, the Norfolk barn is a magical and versatile venue for your special day.
Attached directly to the barn, our luxurious marquee and patio area offers you wonderful additional space. Designed to blend in with the elegance of the barn itself, the fixed marquee is equipped to host your pre or post wedding drinks, canap reception and evening entertainment. Spacious and tastefully furnished, surrounded by boxed bay trees, a patio and pond, the marquee makes an exceptional drinks area.
With a century of care and expertise, the gardens at the Elms provide a beautiful scene in all seasons. At the centre is a magical walled garden, where you will find our stunning rose walk. A moat, other ponds and lawn completes the setting and are home to abundant wildlife, plants and flowers. As well as offering countless photography opportunities, the gardens also provide peace and tranquillity for moments of calm.
Our wedding director will spend dedicated time with you to plan your big day. Drawing on our experience, we will discuss every element from the food to the photos and flowers to favours. We pride ourselves in making the planning as enjoyable as the big day itself, and work closely with you to create an exceptional wedding perfectly tailored to you.
At The Elms we pride ourselves on producing a fantastic food experience. We are thrilled to introduce you to our executive head chef Jason Wright, who also leads the kitchen at The Swan in Loddon, our sister AA rosette restaurant and pub. Jason and his team of talented chefs have created a selection of seasonal menus, that celebrate the very best of Norfolk and Suffolk produce and producers.

The venue and grounds are beautiful and the barn sets itself apart from other 'barn' venues by not being open and filled with glass but instead is cosy and old-feeling, which is why we wanted our dark, midwinter wedding here.
The front of House staff were lovely and the food was exemplary.
The loss of a star was down to a lack of communication from the management of the venue regarding their broken speaker system, which we were only told of the afternoon before the wedding, leaving no time to sort an adequate replacement ourselves - with no support from said venue management.
