Although Anne-Mie, the proprietor is a third generation cake baker, tracing her roots to her grandfather who baked for the forces during the war, she only took up her passion for sugarcraft and creating wonderful wedding cakes following a career in corporate sales. When she was little Anne-Mie used to watch her father, a Belgian patisserie baker, create family favourites, the most individual tempting cakes and cream gateaux.
Our aim is to bake and create your dream cake, whether it is a classic and elegant, romantic wedding cake, a birthday cake with a difference, or just a 'bit of what you fancy melt in the mouth cupcake'. Having a small dinner party with a few friends at home, Anne-Mie Brock was not having a good day, when her friend said: 'Why don't you sell cakes, these taste delicious'. That was in 2009 and Time 4 Cakes was born. Anne-Mie has a successful corporate career behind her, which started in her native Antwerp in Belgium where she started out as a secretary in an American offshore company.
Our charges include a bespoke design service for wedding cakes. We welcome your own ideas, and there would be no extra charge for this. If you like to supply your own design, please let us have a clear photograph/picture. Our consultations usually last between 1 and 1.5 hours and are for a maximum of 4 people attending.
Time 4 Cakes is now in its 10th year of trading, and after all this time, we are still humbled by the many heart-warming comments we receive. It makes such a difference to know that our clients enjoy our cakes, and their celebration has a focal point of discussion. Equally, if you are not happy with our product, please let us know.
If dressing the cake with fresh flowers to coordinate with your wedding bouquet and/or flowers at the church/venue, we would be happy to recommend our preferred florist, but can recommend a professional wedding florist also. It is difficult to supply an exact price until a design is chosen. Cakes are priced individually and according to complexity to produce.
