It was 1988 when I was marched to the careers office and told to pick an apprenticeship and knuckle down. In these early years the family firm that employed me along with their master fitters and Kidderminster carpet college helped to instil the traditions and skills needed to become a fully fledged fitter in all aspects of the trade.
A few years after completing my apprenticeship I spent time on the road eventually settling on the northern beaches of Sydney Australia where I managed a small team of fitters in the luxury end of the Sydney market. The positive, no worries approach the team had whilst dealing in the most demanding market truly had an effect which still resonates in Ocean Flooring.
