Bradbury's is a family run funeral directors, founded in 1884 by J. Bradbury who was a joiner and made coffins as part of his trade. Originally located in High Street East in Sunderland's East end, the business quickly earned an excellent reputation for it's care, efficiency and professionalism and went from strength to strength. T.P. Bradbury has subsequently been managed by four generations and is now Sunderland's longest serving Funeral Director.

Bradurys realise that arranging a funeral can be stressful with so many things to think about in a short space of time. Bradburys Funeral Directors can arrange the flowers or floral tributes for a funeral. There is a wide range available, from traditional wreathes and sprays, to lettering, hearts and other bespoke shapes.
A religious service takes place at a place of worship and usually includes a sermon and readings by a minister or other religious person. A humanist service focuses on the life of the deceased, and there is no religious content at all. You have the choice of having the curtains closed during the committal part of the service or having the curtains left open.
Yes, each cremation takes place individually and is given a unique cremation reference number. You can be sure that the ashes you receive are those of your loved one. You will need to arrange for ground purchase. You can purchase a plot for one, two or three people. This needs to be arranged before the burial of the first of the people that wish to be buried together.

We used TP Bradbury for my Father-in-laws funeral and I could not fault the service that we received. George was professional, helpful and looked after my Mother-in law with great care and respect. George and his team helped make a difficult time easier and I would not hesitate in recommending them.
