Services
Thinking of taking a short break and filling your days with some fantastic things to do and places to eat, drink and shop? From iconic attractions and world-class events to beautiful open countryside and the River Thames, with the wide range of different things to do in Windsor and Maidenhead, it's the perfect destination for everybody.
From the M4 - Leave at exit 5 signposted Slough, Colnbrook, Eton B470 and take second exit B470 to Datchet and Eton. Turn right in Datchet and continue over mini roundabout through village towards Slough. 300 metres beyond the village turn left to Eton at another mini roundabout. Leave Datchet past playing field by the Thames Valley Athletic Centre and turn left at mini roundabout.
Enjoyed lunch in the garden, free parking was also a plus as Windsor car parks are not cheap if your vehicle is parked up for a couple of days. The building is of an age when floors were not as even as today but add an olde world feel to the building which we were told was around 400 years old. Our room was spotlessly clean with a new ensuite bathroom.
Spacious room with a Double bed, ensuite with shower and complimentary toiletries. This room has recently been refurbished and is to the side of the building on the first floor. Amenities include flat screen TV, hairdryer and Tea and Coffee. Spacious room with a King size bed, ensuite with double shower and complimentary toiletries.

Superb location for visiting Windsor just across the bridge. The rooms are what you would expect in an old building wonky floors steep stairs but we found them exceptionally clean especially the bathrooms. The parking was ok as they were not fully booked but in the summer it would be very tight and beware of the trees our car was covered in bird muck. We found the staff to be friendly especially the lad in the bar on Tuesday night who was chatty and helpful with local knowledge and the lady serving breakfast was exceptional her scrambled egg was delicious and she was so cheery in the mornings.

A fabulous old hostelry located just over the Thames in Eton and within very easy walking distance that Windsor has to offer. We have been here a few times when visiting Windsor and have always had a warm welcome. Even our dog,a large German Pointer, is made a fuss of. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced considering the lovely location.

Great little pub in a lovely location. Quirky for sure, but that only adds to its charm. That along with a tasty breakfast, means we will definitely be back!

Lovely quirky place. Great breakfast served by lovely member of staff. Evening meal very good too. Only issue was car park being a bit tight for all the cars.

Hidden little gem in Eton side next to Windsor. They have a nice garden at the back (side?) that it looks fantastic especially at night time. The service is really good, prices are competitive and food is decent. They have good beers too
