Wonderfully helpful service from Wrights in selling some old family jewellery. Great to experience high quality service from an independent family business.

I have been using this jewellers on and off for many years and so has my family.
They are great for many things- From broken chain links and repairs to watch batteries etc.
But my recent visit was for a piece of jewellery and they lady that served me was so helpful and really tryed to understand what I was looking for. They have some beautiful stock and even showed me options that weren’t in store but they could order in.
Eventually we narrowed my options down to 2.
I have never been able to fault their service given and prices are reasonable.

I would give no stars if I could. It's such a shame but it's not the same shop it used to be. As a family we've been using the shop for over 20 years and always had good service and work but this is no longer the case. I had a ring resized and they haven't done it properly so there is now a sharp area on the ring then a diamond has fallen out. When I complained they made it clear they didn't care they have done shoddy work and had no intention of repairing their work. All they would say is that is that work is done at your risk, so if you take your ring there it's at your own risk. My advice is

I had a new battery fitted in my watch, quick and good customer service. They also cleaned up the battery fitting on an old clock which saved me the cost of having the mechanism replaced. Highly recommended.
