Whiteley Dental Practice
It's official - and here at Whiteley Dental Practice we make every effort to ensure that your dental experience is as pleasant as possible and not heavy on your pocket! From the moment you walk through the door we hope that you will feel comfortable in our practice. We are committed to providing high quality care.
Services
Thank you for choosing Whiteley Dental Practice. We hope to introduce you to preventive dental care and by working together to show you how to look after your teeth and gums so that you can enjoy dental health for life. To that end as well as having 3 dentists, we also have 1 hygienist and 1 oral health educator at the practice.
When you contact the practice for the first time, our friendly reception staff will explain to you that your initial consultation will take about 20 to 30 minutes with the dentist, and includes all the necessary basic radiographs, and will cost 45.00. A suitable appointment will be arranged, and you will be asked to pay a deposit towards the examination fee which goes towards the cost of your initial assessment appointment.
We realise that as well as wanting your smile to look great, you'd also like the rest of your face to look equally good. Facial aesthetic treatments help to remove or reduce lines, and improve facial contours. As dentists, we are ideally placed to carry them out because of our advanced knowledge of the facial tissue, and our experience in carrying out intricate procedures.
It is our practice policy to give patients full information about the cost of their dental work before any treatment is undertaken. A written estimate and treatment plan will be provided. We offer patients a range of payment options, depending on their needs. You may pay for your dental care by cheque, cash or credit/debit card.

With regret I cannot recommend. I made an appointment to join as a private patient, with the intention of joining Den plan.
I ended up cancelling the appointment and going elsewhere. This was entirely down to how I was spoken to and dealt with over the phone.
It’s a shame as I spoke to a different member of staff to cancel my appointment; who was excellent.
I’m sure the dentists are all excellent and had I got past this member of staff, I would be writing a different review (please read the other 5 star reviews for balance).
I hope the practice can take my review as a opportunity to reconsider

Having been with Whitely Dental Practice since their first opening, work commitements 3 years ago, meant that I had to seek an alternative dentist. In three years I was registered with three different dental practices: my experiences were dreadful. I was unable to find a dentist that came anywhere close, to being as professional and efficient at looking after my teeth, like Ian Capewell (Dentist) and Sharon Simpson (Hygienist). Due to a change in work circumstances, I am so relieved to be able to return to Whitely Dental Practice. I am totally reassured that my dental care is once again in safe

Not very helpful on the telephone - 'no appointments' end of conversation!

Really impressed by the service provided by Ian & Jenny which is backed up by Denplan. I called the emergency dental service provided by Denplan at 9pm Saturday night as I had been in agony for a few days. I wasn't too sure what to expect as I've been lucky enough to not suffer with a dental emergency before but the lovely lady from the Denplan emergency service completely put my mind at rest. She explained the procedure & told me she was going to speak to the surgery to arrange an emergency appt for me. Within 10 mins, Jenny had called me & invited me to the surgery at 8am this morning!
