We are a friendly three-surgery, mainly NHS practice in central Southampton. The railway station, West Quay shopping centre and entertainment quarter are five minutes walk away. The New Forest, Bournemouth and Isle of Wight contribute to making this a lovely place to live and work. The Dental Practice has a ethos where we appreciate our patients' efforts in oral hygiene and reduction in the frequency of sugar consumption.

We have over 8000 registered patients, representing a comprehensive cross-section of our community. Nothing is more beautiful than a healthy smile. It looks great to those around you and makes you feel more confident.
Services
Polygon Dental Practice is a new dental surgery welcoming patients from Southampton and beyond. Based in central Southampton, just five minutes' walk from Southampton Central Railway Station and the West Quay shopping centre, there is easy access to the practice from Bournemouth, Salisbury, The Isle of Wight and the New Forest.
At Polygon Dental Practice we believe that every patient should have a positive, comfortable experience when visiting the dentist. We provide a comprehensive range of dental treatments, both cosmetic and general, and our aim is simple: to treat all of our patients with the understanding, respect and dignity they deserve.
Many patients are nervous about visiting the dentist. Fear is the main reason that people put off seeking dental treatment, until a condition becomes so serious that they have no choice. At Polygon Dental Practice, we understand that the thought of dental treatment can cause fear and anxiety, which is why we offer special services for nervous patients.
We do not have facilities available as the building is not suitable for wheelchair users. The old structure of the building means no access to a ground floor toilet, no room for turning chair, narrow corridors and door ways etc. Patients are advised on our answer machine to call the 111 helpline if they have an emergency outside of the practices normal opening hours.

I recently had a check-up with Dr. Jamil. The surgery took Covid measures very seriously, as did Dr. Jamil and his assistant. The check-up was thorough and all observations were communicated well. Dr. Jamil was calm and reassuring, and, as another poster observed, does have an exceedingly light touch!

The dentist here, Dr Amed, is always professional, friendly, and reassuring. The team at this practice is always polite, and they are all particularly good at their jobs. Having experienced two relatively awful dental practices in Southampton before finding this one, I can say that they are most certainly a good deal better than any other practice I have experienced in this area.

Hadn’t been to the dentist in 10 years, and lost a front tooth after falling over. Other teeth were either lost or in a poor condition. I have dental anxiety due to mis treatment in the past. Mr Jamil was very comforting, and carefully explained what could be done.
I now have a repaired front tooth, and partial dentures, and I am very happy, over the moon even, with the treatment and eventual results.
Costs were band C on HNS, and covered everything from initial visit, through to the aftercare visit I have just attended. The dentures took 3 visits to get sized, but the outcome has been fantastic

I've just had a particularly troublesome wisdom tooth extracted. My dentist, Mr. Jamil is an absolute professional with a feather like touch. His assistant whose name I didn't catch, is also extremely competent and nice to work with. It's good to know you're in the hands of such a great team.
I suffer from anxiety from time to time, but having had work done here before, I knew I'd be fine. Mr. Jamill's level headed and approachable demeanor also helps a lot.
Regarding the extraction procedure, I barely even noticed the needles going in until my mouth went numb. It took about 5 minutes for him
