Our Day Nurseries in Birmingham cater for children aged 0-5 years, but are very different to each other in their layout. They have been very carefully thought out and individually designed by the owner who is a qualified nursery nurse. They have both been refurbished to the highest quality by her husband, an experienced building contractor.

We are also very proud to say that both of our nurseries were graded as 'GOOD' by Ofsted at our last inspections in 2017.

Services
Lilliput Day Nursery Rubery was opened in 2005 by Alison and Steve Lane, followed by Lilliput Day Nursery Kings Heath in 2010. They have 2 children and their aim was to provide good quality, affordable childcare that they would be happy to send their children to.
Alison is a NNEB qualified Nursery Nurse with more than 30 years experience in the childcare sector, having worked in private nurseries and Birmingham Social Services gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience of a wide diversity of children and their families in day nurseries and family centres.For 5 years Alison also worked in the Early Years department at a further education college teaching and training future nursery nurses.

Our staff understand that all children are individuals and as such all bring something special and unique to our setting. We are an inclusive nursery group and do our very best to provide for all our children's needs as well as the needs of the parents. All children have a personal on-line Learning Journey which records photos, observations and comments, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
I am a level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in childcare. At least 10 of which have been as part of a management team. Being nursery manager has many challenges but it is also a very rewarding role. I love watching the children enjoy the experiences we offer here at Lilliput and seeing them grow and develop.
I am a Level 3 qualified nursery nurse with over 15 years of childcare experience. I joined Lilliput Day Nursery, Rubery in 2005 as a newly qualified nursery nurse and gained a wealth of knowledge and experience within the company and soon progressed to room leader, Senior Nursery Nurse and then Deputy Manager.
All 3 and 4 year olds in England can get 570 hours of funded early education or childcare per year. We offer this over various sessions over 51**/48**/38 weeks of the year. A further 570 hours of extended entitlement childcare are available for eligible families. Each parent earns, on average, a weekly minimum equivalent to 16 hours at the national minimum wage or the national living wage for their age.

Our little boy has been attending here for the last year and I can not praise the place and staff enough. It is by far the best Nursery we viewed and we are so happy with the activities our son does. They provided detailed updates on his progress and involve you every step of the way. He loves his days at Lilliputs, they are always doing new things to help his development.
The Staff always greet you with a smile and are so friendly and supportive.

I visited 12 nurseries before Lilliput. My little boy was 9 months when he first joined, 18 months later we are always reminded that we made the right choice! Dedicated, caring staff, gorgeous setting, amazing communication between parents and staff just to name a few! They’ve been INCREDIBLE with our little boy and we are eternally grateful for all they do! He’s had allergies since a baby and they’ve always made sure he has healthy meals and doesn’t get left out of cake time either! I honestly can’t say enough just thank you for all you do and continue to do for Joseph!

My son loves this nursery he loves all the staff and has so much fun every day as there is something different every day loads of messy time and activitys he has come on so well with his learning and speaking since attending I will be sad to see him leave next September as its brilliant there highly recommend this nursery

We visited a number of other local nurseries and we were getting to a point of difficultly in choosing. Last on our list was Lilliput - Rubery. We were greeted by Emily who was incredibly welcoming and friendly and spent as much time as we needed answering our questions. We were so impressed with the clean, warm, open and bright environment, we both looked at each other and know immediately this was the place for our son. As soon as we got home, I completed all the forms and went straight back up to hand in. Our son has been there 18 months now and absolutely loves the place and adores the staff

Both of my children have loved attending this wonderful nursery over the last 3.5 years and have been really settled there. The staff are brilliant and all have great bonds with the children and show so much patience, care and enthusiasm. My two boys are very different personality wise but both have flourished here and developed in confidence, knowledge and social skills. They do so many different activities and have great facilities with the garden, soft play and sensory room. We couldn’t be happier that we chose Lilliputs and would definitely recommend to all.

Im very happy with the nursery, my daughter loves it there the staff are great and very approachable. Since starting in May 2019 i have seen an improvement in my child with eating and she is starting to write now aswell. The cost is reasonable compared to many other nurseries with clear fees and the food they provide is of a good standard of which my daughter now eats pretty much all of including salad and vegetables which she never did for 3 yrs at her previous nursery. Overall a great place and i would recommend
