In 2001 James Gladding created Jamescape Limited. At the age of 19 and already working within the landscaping industry he quickly recognised an opportunity in this field that was blighted with problematic contractors, poor workmanship and a failure in customer expectations. So he set about creating a business that could succeed where so many others to this day continue to fail.

Since then and over the last 18 years the company has flourished, gaining a reputation for a unmatchable standard of workmanship and professionalism operating from our yard in Hertford. Resin Bound Driveways Report

Resin Bound surfacing is a system that that you will now see being used more and more in the UK, and the market for this has grown steadily over the last five years. It has been used throughout Europe, namely Belgium and Germany, for nearly 15 years now.

These rules were introduced to help prevent localised flooding by restricting people from installing non-permeable surfaces in an area of what was once permeable ground, for example what was once lawn then being covered by concrete block paving, therefore preventing the water from entering the water table and overwhelming highway systems with this huge 'funnel' effect into the highways drains.

A Resin Bonded driveway is when glues are applied to a prepared substrate and stone is distributed over the base with a thin layer of these stones sticking to the glued surface. A Resin Bound driveway is when the prepared aggregates are mixed with the resin glues and then trowelled into position to act as solid surface that looks like gravel.

I first met with James to discuss proposed work in early 2021. James listened to my rather vague brief and helped me to shape it into a workable solution. With my being in a wheelchair this was critical; fancy ideas are not always practical ones.
Having agreed the spec and the price James and his team set to work. Diligent, keeping time promises, keeping me updated as to progress, a friendly yet professional group of people, I have nothing but praise for Jamescape. I highly recommend both the company, product and the team.

Jamescapes were excellent to deal with. James was very patient and helpful when we kept changing our minds. His team were very professional, polite, timely and very tidy.
The work was completed to a high standard and the results are most impressive.

Disappointed with the standard of work. There was a white patch on our Resin drive, when queried we were told it must be the car exhaust pipe. Terrible customer service when trying to resolve the problem, despite the work apparently being guaranteed for five years. James carried out a refresh process but said it was for a stain that he did not believe had anything to do with the installation or fault of his company. Now the drive is covered in these patches. The last email sent he said he wont be patronized by ridiculous suggestions that it was his companies fault and to stop looking for problems
