Invisalign is the market leading brand of invisible braces, which is revolutionising adult orthodontics. Many of our patients have lived with crooked teeth, and feel they have missed the boat when it comes to having a perfect smile. Do not despair, as this invisible brace system is able to straighten teeth of all complexities without the hassle of fixed wires and brackets.
Over the last 20 years, major advancements have been made in the quality of white fillings. They are now just as long-lasting and predictable as conventional amalgam fillings, with the added benefit of looking like your natural teeth. The material is made from a composite resin, which is bonded to the tooth.
Missing teeth can be a cause of many dental problems. Chewing may become difficult if gaps exist at the back of the mouth, whilst patients with missing front teeth often feel self-conscious about speaking and smiling. Adjacent and opposing healthy teeth can also drift into the gaps, causing misalignment of the teeth.
These are primarily supported by the soft tissues of the mouth and work by creating a suction to ensure that they do not move during eating. The advantage of them is that they do not cause harm or damage to existing teeth. However, in order to create a good suction, they require maximum extension quite far back in the mouth to ensure that food does not get trapped under the denture whilst eating.
