We carry out MOT's on all types of vehicles from cars and vans to light commercial vehicles no matter the make or model. We can also provide a service for fleet maintenance through the one link system. You are able to come and view your vehicle having it's MOT in our viewing room to put your mind at rest.
Whether you are a local customer or non local it does not matter to us. We have our very own breakdown recovery service available to pick you up and bring you to the garage. Being able to collect our customers broken cars means a lot to us as we are then able to offer the best service available and get them to the garage to get fixed in a timely manner.

I love this garage. For years I struggled to find a garage that could balance my wheels properly. Then I came across John Oats. These guys are brilliant. Never had a vibrating steering wheel since I started having tyres fitted with them. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Car broke down so was towed here by RAC they had the car 5 days before they even looked at it and quoted me 150-450 quid for about 4 or 5 parts and labour, paid to have the car towed again to a reliable garage they looked at the car same day and fixed the car costing me £50! What a rip off garage at John Oates!!! Please do not get ripped off before getting 2nd quote or if you do then it your own fault!

Took to this garage as code on computer showed up and they put on diagnostic then switched lights off. Few weeks later check engine light came on and took it back. Took it early morning and at 8pm that evening was told needed mass air sensor and would contact me following day with price. Nobody phoned so we phoned them to be told they didn't know what was up could take to a specialist but would cost more than car is worth. This garage apparently didn't have diagnostic equipment for our vehicle and on the phone the mechanic said he knew nothing of our vehicle. Our car is a 2013 chevrolet and to

John and the staff at the garage have looked after my car's for many years now.
I cannot recommend them high enough for service and friendliness.
Prepared to discuss the issue once diagnosed with me before proceeding with work and car is always ready when they say it will be or i get a call well in advance to let me know of any delays or issues.

Blow out on the M6 200 mile from home this evening the RAC chap called up and spoke to John who made his way back to open the garage, RAC escorted me there and half hour later I was on me way after being supplied, balanced and fitted a new tyre! Absolute god send and saved me limping home slowly on a space saver! Thanks mate Merry Christmas to you! 👍🏻
