I have been practicing in Sports Massage for over 12 years now and love what I do. I am a busy mum of physical 2 boys and like to keep myself fit and strong. I go to the gym and weight train 4-5 times a week and understand first hand how important it is to look after your body. I put my muscles and my body through a lot, and know that I have to stretch and get massage's myself if I want to carry on training and functioning that way I want to.
In the 14 years I have been practising Sports Massage, I have trained in Traditional Thai Massage & Myofascial Cupping. I find that they work amazingly together to aid in both rehabilitation and injury prevention. What is Myofascial Cupping? It is a modified form of ancient Eastern style cupping. It specifically target's the musculo-Skeletal system by using plastic cups and vacuum to create suction. The vacuum draws the soft tissue into the cup, thus providing a force to the soft tissue/ fascia system. The vacuum lifts the soft tissue up, causing blood flow and oxygen to come into the area.
Thai massage is more energising and rigorous than most other forms of massage and is like doing yoga without having to do any of the work. A Thai massage session will help you release stresses, relieve pain, and help you function more effectively in all areas of your life. What is Thai massage? It is the traditional massage of Thailand, and has been practiced for over 1000 years.
