Relationships Scotland Glasgow is a registered charity governed by a Board of Directors, all volunteers and managed by a small team of employees. The receptionists and counsellors are volunteers. Services
Relationship counselling offers you a chance to explore your feelings and insecurities. By talking to a qualified counsellor you work together to aim to achieve a better understanding of your relationship and the outcome you both wish to achieve whether it is to stay together, separate or divorce. Counselling sessions are normally held weekly at the same time and with the same counsellor.
We have counsellors qualified to Diploma level in the Person Centred model and Psychodynamic model who can help you overcome the trauma. I have experience of working with people who have come to talk about a range of issues that are affecting them - including relationships, sexuality, addiction, work related stress, self harm, anxiety and low mood, bereavement and loss.
A couple's sexual relationship is something they work out for themselves. How often you have sex, when and what you do is personal to your relationship. As long as you both enjoy doing it and it's not harming anyone else, then it's your choice. However, if your sexual relationship isn't giving you the pleasure or satisfaction it once did or if it never has, then you may find talking to a sex therapist helpful.
I found it very beneficial although admittedly tough because sessions broke barriers and made me think about my own reactions and behaviour. Self-analysis is not at all easy. I definitely believe this has made us stronger and give us good tools for the moments when we need them. Sceptical at first but thankful we came.
When you contact us the receptionist will tell you a little about the service we offer, take some details from you such as name, partners name, address and contact details. If you wish to register you will be asked to pay the 10 registration fee and your name will be placed on our waiting list. When the next available appointment becomes available you will be contacted by our receptionist.
