This is an Evening seminar intended to explain the process of successfully extending your home. If you are looking to extend or alter your home then this is for you. Most people start our Home extension discussions with "where do we start". This short seminar will talk you through all the issues and processes that you will need to undergo.
This is a requirements of the Local Authority Building Control Department. Your consultant will physically deal with the application however the legal onus is on you to ensure this is done.
Plan-It Design work in conjunction with our sister companies Build -It and other sub contractors to assist with all aspects of construction services to home owners. Plan-It also offer desgn and build solutions for minor alterations in offices, shops and work place environments. We can provide maintenance trades on an as needed or contract basis.
You should invite a Building Surveyor or Architect or someone who has a professional knowledge of the building and design process to discuss your project in your home. This will be someone who can prepare plans and is actively involved in submitting applications to the local authority for home extensions.

Beware this company and it’s associates. This man IS NOT an architect. We had original plans drawn by him but when we said we did not want to use his other company to build the extension he became rude and unresponsive. We contracted another architect who was horrified at what she was looking at. Unsafe and unworkable was the consensus and when she investigated further he is not what he claims! Be careful!

Would not recommend this guy. Extremely disappointed please do not pay anything up front as you will be disappointed !! He is not registered as an architect and will present you with basic drawings which you can download from land registry. ! Provided very basic information which anybody can access. I have basic CAD and could make better drawings. Really disappointed please be warned !!

PLEASE do your research before using this chap. As others have said he IS NOT an architect and the difference between him and an actual professional is night and day. I had a frightful time with him and his son. Neither are qualified. If you are considering using the services of Fairbairn Senior or Junior, get a second opinion from an industry recognised competitor first. I guarantee that you will be staggered at the difference between the two.

What a hideous experience. Plan It is an exercise in the avoidance of responsibility. We took comfort in the "architect" (Architects Registration Board later confirmed not an architect), the local reputable position and links to a small family building firm. What we've been left with is two independent structural reports calling for a rebuild, basic considerations missed and horrifying attempts to hide incompetence.
Horrendous.
