This Project was designed with a modern and clean look that is both practical and beautiful. This loft conversion was to allow the addition of a master bedroom with en-suite to an expanding family. I'm proud to take part in a project that brings joy such a lovely family. While designing this space, I carefully thought of all the small details needed to create an everyday living space for the family.

I then looked to further my education at The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen spending two years to obtain my Degree in Architectural Technology. I have in that time worked for Building Standards department for West Lothian Council as a Technical assistant where I was able to gain a vast knowlwedge of the current Building Regulations.
No more than half the area of land around the "original house"* would be covered by additions or other buildings. Single-storey rear extension must not extend beyond the rear wall of the original house* by more than three metres if an attached house or by four metres if a detached house.
These increased limits (between 3m and 6m and between 4m and 8m respectively) are subject to the prior notification of the proposal to the Local Planning Authority and the implementation of a neighbour consultation scheme.If objections are received, the proposal might not be allowed. Extensions of more than one storey must not extend beyond the rear wall of the original house* by more than three metres.
