Services
We have two MOT testers at Kirkhill Auto Services - Bruce and Craig. All MOT tests are carried out under the regulations of DVSA. If your vehicle fails the MOT, we will contact you to explain why it has failed and recommend any further actions, including a quote to repair your vehicle. Some customers like to have their vehicle in tip top condition so we will advise you if some of the minor faults should be fixed now or at the next service.
It arrived as a rolling chassis, work required was to strip off all the suspension and braking parts refurb, clean and paint and refit. We removed the old engine, and fitted a new engine supplied by the customer. Changed the timing belt and water pump, changed the oil and filter. The auto gearbox was sent away for repair and refurb.
Having your car serviced at the correct time is critical. The service schedules are determined by the manufacturer. The schedule in modern day cars is usually once a year as a time schedule or over miles covered. Every second service will be a major service. Servicing your car at the correct time will make all the difference to your cars performance as well as the miles per gallon.
In addition to our general services, Kirkhill Auto Services are also equipped to handle some more specific motoring requirements. Kirkhill Auto Services are approved resellers of Smart Witness - Vehicle CCTV and Saftey Systems. Smart Witness is a new up and coming essential piece of equipment. It involves having an independent forward facing camera.

Just want to say a huge thanks to the guys here. I phoned yesterday after getting my MOT dates mixed up. Explained it was due today and they were amazing. Managed to fit me in with no hassle. Got a phone call to say it was ready and that there was nothing needing done (🙌🏼). All in all, great service, friendly guys and above all helped me out last minute! Won’t go anywhere else now. My MOT ran out whilst away at work. They picked up my vehicle from my works office and did the MOT and replaced the front spring. Work was all done to a very high standard. My car passed the mot and I was able to drive home safely. If your after a great local garage i couldn’t recommend these guys enough. Thanks again to John and his team.

We were unfortunate enough to have a puncture yesterday while driving from Inverurie to Helensburgh on the A96. Kirkhill Auto Services although very busy at the time, repaired the puncture on our Volvo straight away, allowing us to continue our journey in a safe and timely manner.
Many thanks for the excellent customer service, delivered quickly and at very reasonable cost. A special thanks to Cath the office manager, and Jack the mechanic who also wished us a safe journey, much appreciated, five star service !!

Service was expensive considering that it is not a main dealer. £228.97 for an MOT (with no issues) and a small service is a bit steep.
Although I cannot be certain, there is a high possibility that they are responsible for damage to the under side of my car (appears to have been jacked up aganst the side skirt instead of a lifting point causing a few hundred pounds worth of damage), which was not there the day before the MOT when I washed the car. Although I noticed it instantly on collection of the car, I cannot prove it and they deny it so all I can do is advise people away from them.
