In 1931 Robson & Ellis was formed by David Ellis, David Ellis the younger and Albert Robson.
They set up a partnership as Joiners, Cabinet Makers and Funeral Directors as 12a Town Street, Bramley. David Ellis the younger and Mr Robson traded together until 1948 when Mr Ellis the elder returned from active service. At that stage Mr Robson left the partnership and emigrated to Australia. In 1957, James Ellis joined the business and after his father's death in 1964, Jim Ellis continued to run the business with his mother.

If a death has occurred at home, please call us once the doctor or medical professional has attended to verify the death. If a death has occurred in hospital contact us during waking hours at your earliest convenience. We will guide you through what needs to happen next to reflect your individual circumstances.
From the first phone call we will handle all funeral arrangements and provide the support, guidance and advice you will need. We are more than happy to provide a no obligation quotation. Religious and non-religious funeral services arranged including ceremonies taken by Civil and Humanist Celebrants.
We understand the stress of preparing for the funeral and the short space of time you have in which to put everything in place. Funerals often arise unexpectedly. So we strive to make this part of the arrangements as straight forward as possible. We create designs that include family photographs and personal memories.
Funeral costs consist of the funeral director fees and disbursement fees (which are on your behalf). The disbursement fees are common to all funeral directors and some prices vary between cities from but we note some typical costs below as a guide. Officiant for the Funeral Service, and making the necessary disbursement payments on your behalf.
A funeral plan can provide peace of mind for you and your family and could save you money. You choose the funeral you want and pay for our services included in the plan at today's prices, relieving your family of worries and uncertainty at a distressing time. The price of funerals, like everything else, has been rising year on year.

I must say Robson and Ellis Bramley have been brilliant with everything after my father Victor passed away , Matthew and his team were absolutely brilliant and very helpfull , they always had time to listen and make requests happen a truly fantastic service that made funeral arrangements easier to cope with, on behalf of my family thank you so much

This company arranged my brothers funeral Thursday 6th July 2017, they are disrespectful, ignorant, not very well presented, even going to there office I found them rude.... When my brother arrived home on the day of the funeral , mine and my sisters flowers were taken from his house and put in the boot of the hearse!!!!!! Due to time I was told !! So our flowers that my brother would have loved traveled in the boot of his hearse all the way to rawdon!!! There was room either side of my brothers coffin for them...I would strongly suggest anyone reading this to use another undertakers..
