Hi thanks for having a look at my pages - I am a full-time freelance photographer, based in Macclesfield, Cheshire and ideally situated to cover documentary weddings all over the UK as well as freelance corporate commercial work. Focusing on the Cheshire & Manchester region over the last 20 years I have built up a considerable portfolio of weddings, events and corporate headshots.

Good headshot photography should reflect your personality - most people dread having their photograph taken - usually because they have never been photographed professionally.
When doing headshot photography in Manchester and Cheshire for a group, we usually recommend allowing 10-15 mins per person which allows for a little time to chat and make you feel relaxed - usually the last few images are the ones that people select when they feel comfortable.However, the more time we spend with each person, the better the selection of shots we can provide for you.

Event photography requires a lot of experience, especially with those who have enjoyed the hospitality of the host a little too much! The skills required are not only social but technically they can be a challenge to work in venues that have been lit to create a certain atmosphere - so these events almost always have to be lit by flash.
I have been shooting and capturing weddings for over 25 years, and over that time I have grown to love images that are honest and authentic, not staged and false. When I first started this was very cutting edge - now it has ( thankfully ) become the norm.
Wedding photography is probably one of the only times that most people will hire somebody to photograph them so it is so important to get somebody who you gel with and who will give you a set of images that will take you back to your wedding day for many years to come.If anything your wedding photographs increase in value as you can never get the same people together again as on your wedding day.
