Bryan James & Co was established in 1973 by John and Janet Beeston and remains a family owned and managed company. We believe this family base rather than a shareholder driven approach gives Bryan James & Co greater affinity with its customers and provides the foundation for good client-broker relationships.
We have a wide range of products, many of which are unique to us and they can provide a valuable benefit to your customers too. If you are not FCA registered are there any known reasons, eg criminal record, bankruptcy etc which might prejudice your application to register? We are always willing to talk in strictest confidence to brokerages, large or small, especially in areas where we are already represented.
The company does co-operate with the Government Apprentice training scheme but does not accept applications direct from intending candidates. Enquiries for employment under the scheme should be referred direct to the training agencies. From time to time the company does have vacancies and is able to offer employment to graduates of British universities seeking to make a career for themselves in insurance broking.
For more than 40 years Bryan James & Co has offered its expertise to hoteliers, caterers and restaurants across the UK. During this time we have learnt the simple lesson that there a vast difference between the many types of outlet. For providers of bed and breakfast accommodation we offer the "Rest Assured" policy which recognises that the insurance needs of the home owner are included.
This is an area where special help needs to be provided, but not all insurance companies and brokers can do this. Bryan James & Co have for many years gone out of their way to help this important part of national life. Our OPEN DOOR policies are provided by insurance companies who appreciate the special needs of these groups, for example including Trustee Indemnity cover.
