Services
Our focus is on preventative dentistry however, with a repertoire of general and specialist skills we are able to offer a comprehensive range of treatments including general dental care, cosmetic dentistry, tooth whitening, implants and minor oral surgery. Our dentists, dental nurses and support staff are all highly qualified, with many years' experience in providing personal, professional care for our patients.
I was born and raised in Cornwall and am a proud Cornishman. I graduated from Cardiff Dental School in 1996 and developed my career with a view to becoming a head and neck surgeon. I trained as a Doctor at Southampton General Hospital and qualified in 2003. I have experience in a number of Surgical specialties including Maxillo-facial surgery, Plastic surgery, Orthopaedics, and General Surgery.
I qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2002, and have been working in general practice ever since. I am a keen gardener and like to grow my own fruit and vegetables. I qualified as a Dental Nurse in 1992, having a career break when I had my two children. I have worked on reception but mostly in surgery where I enjoy assisting in providing high quality care.
I qualified as a Dental Hygienist at Royal Air Force Halton in 1993. I have worked in several general practices across the country from North Wales to Hampshire where I currently live with my two daughters. I qualified as a Dental Therapist from Bristol Dental Hospital in 2014. This allows me to perform all types of fillings on children and adults, primary teeth extractions and pulp treatments.
I have worked in dentistry in both a nursing and administrative capacity. I left dental nursing to travel and subsequently retrain in the beauty industry. After having four children I returned to Lockswood Dental Practice and continue to work as a Practice Administrator in addition to working alongside the Practice Manager.
