Bedminster Parade is a beguiling mix of art galleries, restaurants and car accessory stores just south of the river. As befits this unusual set of bedfellows, Ganesha is a far from a standard, common-or-garden Indian restaurant. It's a family-run venture offering authentic Indian cuisine from all corners of the subcontinent via a menu that's a million miles away from your average curry house.
A small, 30-cover restaurant serving authentic food from Southern India in the shadows of Bedminster Asda, it must have been a gamble for owners Mayur Renukdas and his wife. The couple had never run a restaurant before and were keeping down full-time day jobs when they weren't putting in some serious hours in the restaurant.

Been a long time since I've been in a setting that ticks every box!
The staff were incredible, knowledgeable about the meals, helpful in choices and supportive of a friendly environment.
The food was fantastic, we ordered starters, mains, naans and rice's. I had chicken dansak which was very flavoursome and good texture. My husband had lamb chops in sauce (chef special) which he enjoyed immensely. We even took home left overs as the portions were a well rounded size.
The atmosphere was relaxing and suitable.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant forgot to give a bag with part of our order to the uber driver, refused to take any responsibility e.g. refund us, send the order out or take any responsibility. I was calm & polite and asked the restaurant if there was any solution but was told not to 'argue' and that there was nothing they could do. To think I was speaking to the manager as well makes it worse, no responsibility and really bad/rude customer service.

Ordered from Ganesha via Ubereats and it never arrived. Ubereats simply replied with a bot 'we can't help you'. Ganesha refused to deal with it, saying we had to contact UberEats, possibly knowing full well this would be fruitless. We lost £30. Thanks Ganesha & UberEats. Both refuse to take responsibility for their actions, as you can see from their reply below. Buyer beware!!! (Obv will never use either again).

One of my favourite curry houses in Bristol that i keep going back to. The food is always amazing, good portions and great flavour. I either collect and everyone is super friendly or i get delivered and food always arrives hot. Don't be out off by the appearance of outside, a friend recommend it and its a hidden gem and the food is always on point.

Ordered it on uber eats and loved the vegetarian half korma :)! Naan was really nice and curry had a light kick to it which was great too! Paneer was cooked nicely and I loved that they served half portions as well. Having some more vegetarian mild dishes could help as well since I seem to always go for korma but would love to try another dish that is mild. Would love to one day eat in the restaurant as well :)
