Harkness Premier Jewellers was founded by Stuart Harkness in 2014. As a highly skilled stone setter and designer, the business was quick to outgrow its original premises and has in fact expanded three times within the last three years. With expansion comes modernisation, and so this latest workshop is kitted out with state of the art equipment to create the most modern and cutting edge jewellery workshop in the country.
Creating a piece of bespoke jewellery could be seen as the ultimate indulgence, but with custom design come unique possibilities. For some it's the opportunity to convey feelings that can't be put into words, for others it's the perfect way to bring a sentimental stone or tarnished precious metal right up to date within a stunning new form, turning something that's tired and unworn into something you'll treasure.
At Harkness Premier Jewellers, we would always encourage you to wear and enjoy your jewellery, but accidents happen. If you're concerned about a scratch, dent, break or missing stone, drop in and we'll see what can be done. Whether the job is large or small, we're masters of repair, but we also like to be honest, so if it simply can't or shouldn't be fixed, we'll tell you.
To ensure year-round radiance, we would encourage you to wash jewellery gently with mild, soapy water. But cleaning and polishing diamonds, gemstones and precious metals, or accessing more hard to reach areas may come in the form of more specialist treatments. Harkness Premier Jewellers can spruce up your jewellery with stunning results, allowing you to always show it off at its best.

This was an absolutely amazing experience at every step. I had one ring resized and another one remade into an earring. The first ring had to be reduced and I thought it might have been tricky not only because of a tiny size but as well because it had a head of an animal with ruby eyes. Not only was it resized perfectly, I actually couldn’t see any traces on the ring. And the second ring was remade into an earring paying attention to the style and the best result we could get (and keeping the price moderate).

Fantastic.
My wife snapped her very very fine curb chain necklace (her favourite) and I didn't think it possible to be fixed.
These guys fixed it to look like new in a couple of hours using a laser machine of all things.
I can't put across how good the workmanship and the price was.
I went in with a chain worth no more than £30 or £40 and the service was as though I had much more expensive jewellery.
Very happy I used them.

Been here many times now for resizing of rings, bracelets etc. And just received my bespoke ring i asked them to make for me. The whole process was really easy and fun, and i was able to see the stones before i chose also, which was a nice touch. Emma is so lovely, as are all the staff, and i can't thank them enough again. I love my one of a kind ring!!

I can't praise this company and the owner Stuart enough. Their customer service was outstanding. Dependable, helpful, knowledgeable, and the craftsmanship of their work is superb. All this comes at fair prices too. Stuart the owner spent time to explain and guide my wife and I how best to restore, and design our pieces of much treasured jewellery. We were not rushed. and he dealt with it himself. Honestly I was astounded at the fabulous job he did . I definitely recommend them.

Wonderful customer service and my ring was resized with beautiful attention to detail. Cant recommend highly enough. 5*.
Staff were fantastic, and made me feel so much better after a local jeweller was downright rude, condescending and dismissive, refusing to take on the work (as there are lots of tiny diamonds on the neck of ring) when we enquired there.

Couldn't be happier with the service provided by Harkness, wish there were 6 stars to rate it. Barely recognised my engagement ring after getting it back - it looked like the best possible version of itself. Very professional and kind staff, extremely good quality of work and fast service. I couldn't ask for more :)

Very quick service. Was able to get my ring fixed and back within two hours. Thank you for making a very stressful situation more bearable. I would also like to say that the lady who was on the front desk yesterday was delightful. Very chatty and put me at ease as soon as I arrived. Will definitely use this jewellers again.

Received my engagement ring back today after having a diamond replaced & the claws re-tipped. Delighted with the work & happy with reasonable price quoted.
