Ellon is at the centre of a rich agricultural area and enjoys the benefits oil and gas have brought to the North East. To its own rich history is added that of the surrounding countryside. This is castle country, dotted with countless National Trust and Historic Scotland properties. The town is close to magnificent stretches of beach and dunes and the perfect base from which to visit traditional villages along the coast.
Located in Ellon, the Buchan Hotel is just a fifteen-minute drive from Aberdeen; Ellon has an excellent bus service operating up to twice an hour to and from the city, starting early morning running until late at night. We're ideally placed for business travellers to the area, fishing trips on the River Ythan, golfers playing Trump International Links, Cruden Bay or many of the other wonderful courses in the area.
