At Only Essex Driving we are here for you the customer helping you to reach that long term goal of passing your driving test. All our driving instructors are DBS checked and DVSA approved where they have met strict criteria taking many tests to meet the requirements set out by the DVSA.
Most of our driving instructors are in house trained by our great instructor trainers so we know they have met the required standard, we give our instructors continuous development training so they are always up to date with their teaching skills which we monitor to help instructors be the best they can be.

I hadn’t done driving lessons for 10 years and my first lesson with Jason he identified my strengths and weaknesses to help me get test ready. He has been a great instructor even on the lessons where I felt hopeless, he was very calm, very encouraging and today I passed my test first time with Only Essex Driving. (I failed years ago with a different company)I couldn’t recommend the school enough and would like to thank Jason for helping me get driving. I was baffled I only got 3 minors but it just goes to prove how good the school really is. I would 100% recommend them to anyone learning to

I had Rowan as my driving instructor, lovely person an couldn’t be any more friendly but most of all she’s an amazing instructor, she’s nothing but patient with you yet every lesson she will make sure you’ve progressed an I passed my test today, second time with one minor. Couldn’t have been more pleased and highly recommend Rowan if you go with only Essex driving school.

Jason was a top class instructor. He’s so good in helping you improve at your weak points in driving and just overall a brilliant instructor. Very conversational and polite too which is a bonus plus he made me feel so calm on the day of my test. A top class instructor and a top guy. The price is better than most other driving schools but well worth the money!

Steve is very reliable, always turns up on time and it is very easy to block book lessons in advance. There have been times when I have had to re-arrange the lesson at short notice and he has been absolutely accommodating. Would highly recommend him as he is very thorough and talks you through your mistakes and suggests corrections.

I have been doing my driving lessons with Steve from here and he is amazing. He is a fantastic tutor and I will be passing my Driving test in a couple weeks thanks to him. He is a really friendly guy and very knowledgeable when it it comes to driving and teaching. He has helped me learn to drive, from knowing nothing about driving. He also helped me judge when to go for my driving test so that I don't have to take it multiple times, he is currently helping me greatly with getting ready for the test and I am very grateful that I had him as an instructor. There is no better out there!

Couldn't recommend this school enough, I have Steve as my instructor not only is he a great instructor, helps me with my faults and pushes me that extra step forward to achieve what I need to do, he also teaches great to, has a great way with explaining things with his pictures in his folder & is patient with me while I learn to. Very reliable and goes that extra mile for his students. Thanks for making me more confident in driving & putting up with my moods!
