I am a fully qualified, Grade A, Government Approved Driving Instructor (DVSA ADI), an ORDIT qualified Instructor Trainer. I have a Btec Award in Education and Training and I am also an Institute of Advanced Motorists Advanced Driver. I have been married to my wife; Romaine, for over 20 years, and live with our two dogs in Ilminster.
I have had a few jobs since leaving school at sixteen including 14 years in the Royal Navy and 15years as a Partner in a Building company. Having always been told by friends, family and work colleagues that I was a calm and relaxed type of person, and having had a lot of experience training colleagues and subordinates from the age of 19 in the Navy (and in my other jobs after that) a new career as a Driving Instructor seemed like great idea.

You will be driving a Citroen C3 Flair Nav as your training vehicle. This is a very stylish and exiting car, acceptable to both young drivers and older persons. It has a roomy cabin that can will easily seat the larger driver, with comfortable seating adjustable in three planes.
Although with a good sized cabin, the relatively small overall exterior dimensions of the car make (smaller in width and length than the Ford Fiesta and Vauxhall Corsa) make it ideal for learners, as do the responsive steering and positive manual gearbox.The high seating position afforded by the 20inch wheels also give a good view of the road ahead.

6 hour Pass Plus Course: Contact me for my current prices. The pass plus course is designed by the DVSA in association with the Insurance and driving instruction industries for those people who have passed their test and is aimed at speeding up your driving experience. There are 6 subjects covered these are motorway driving, dual carriageways, adverse weather conditions, country roads, night driving and busier town driving.
