Our mother lived at the Annacliffe for 10 happy months, before she unexpectedly suffered a stroke and died in early March 2020. During her time there she was given first class care and shown love and affection from the staff. She went on numerous trips to local attractions: the zoo, garden centres, afternoon tea and went on holiday to Wales.
Mum loved the peace of her pleasant, well decorated room at the back of the house. She also spent many happy hours in the beautiful gardens.
As a family, we took the decision to have her end of life care at the Annacliffe, where she was surrounded by love

My mum went in after meeting care owner at her home was told would have an ensuite room with shower . The room was upstairs dated and depressing . The toilet didnt flush and door wouldn't close as had toilet frame and was to small for her to access herself. The call bell was disconnected and only reconnected when my sister stayed as the handyman came in to do it .The care was good especially the night staff and we are grateful we were with our mum when she died. But the room they gave us was modern and on suite on the ground floor while we stayed with her but that's what we wanted for mum .The

I would like to take this opportunity to say a few words of thanks to the Annacliffe and all its staff. We had to place my mum in a care home as she was suffering from terminal cancer and dimentia brought on by chemo therapy. Mum was still receiving chemo therapy while in the Annacliffe. In the later part of her life the care that mum needed became quite intense and the staff at the Annacliffe went above and beyond to help and support mum, in fact they looked after my mum as though she was their own mother. Also during these difficult times the staff also helped and looked after us as a family
