Welcome to Sheridan Care, where we're passionate about person-centred day and residential care for people with dementia. At Sheridan Care we believe that caring for people with dementia should be a positive experience for all involved. For residents it's the beginning of a new phase of their lives, where they can reconnect with themselves and others once again, under our expert and sensitive guidance.

For relatives it's an opportunity to forge closer, more meaningful relationships with their loved ones, free from the pressures and tensions that inevitably arise when dealing with dementia at home. For us it's an opportunity to apply the person and relationship-centred care principles that can help enrich the lives of our residents and bring families closer together.
Services
Beth and Jim Sheridan founded Sheridan Care in 2003. Their vision, enriching the lives of people with dementia through person and relationship-centred care, is pursued in all aspects of care home life - both at Elmsdene and more recently Honeysuckle House, which was acquired in 2007. The owners lead by example and staff are intensively trained to ensure they wholeheartedly adopt the Sheridan Care approach.
We are currently compiling a list of frequently asked questions to help site visitors. Below are some of the most common questions we get asked - if you have a question relating to dementia care that you would like us to answer please email us. Arrangements for care may be made through the local authority, or independently.
It provides relatives of residents at Elmsdene with an opportunity to discuss dementia care with Sheridan Care team members and representatives of other agencies involved in care provision. Held monthly in the evening, it is an informal and highly popular event that provides everyone with the opportunity to both share their experiences and learn from the experience of others.
The Sheridan Care Management Team is made up of a highly skilled group of dedicated, caring professionals. All are committed to the consistent and sustained implementation of our person and relationship-centred approach.

We achieve this through an ongoing investment in training and personal development, ensuring that best practice and modern thinking in dementia care supports the Sheridan Care vision and provides the best possible experience for our residents.
