I never leave reviews but really poor service here from beginning to end. Avoid.

Hands down, the best opticians I’ve ever used, the staff always happy, personable and professional. Their priority is providing a positive customer experience opposed to upselling, and extracting as much money as possible (as per my experience at Specksavers).
I went into the shop today with a broken frame expecting to pay a few hundred £ for a new pair of glasses . Instead they replaced the broken frames with a new frame they had in stock ( and used my old lenses) and it cost me £10 for efficiency a new pair of glasses . They could have easily sold me another pair. Such rare integrity has

My 92 year old dad went to optical direct because he couldn't see The optitian referred him (after a 2 hour appt) to QEUH but we heard nothing for 2 months. When I phoned the shop Angela took on his case and worked tirelessly phoning texting and e mailing and generally making a nuisance of herself with the opthalmology dept. Can't thank her enough and Elizabeth because he was referred on to the Victoria Infirmary where he was given laser surgery in the outpatient dept today ..a 20 minute procedure in outpatients .he walked out into my brother's arms saying ' I can see I can see '...What a miracle♥♥♥♥♥

Great staff, great choice of glasses at reasonable prices. Would never go anywhere else.
