The Knowle Care Home was opened in 1986 and is an established care home registered by the Care Quality Commission. The Knowle provides high-standard accommodation for up to 32 people who require personal care and also those with dementia. Fully trained staff for 24 hours a day, excellent home-cooked meals and snacks, provision of special diets, a laundry service, book and video library service, WIFI and so much more.

The Knowle Care Home was opened in 1986 and is an established care home registered by the Care Quality Commission. The Knowle provides high-standard accommodation for up to 32 people who require personal care and also those with dementia.
The Knowle has been created from two large, combined, Victorian houses and a purpose built extension situated in the Ashton area which is a residential area close to the town centre with easy access to other major places by public transport.The house is a brick built detached period property set in an acre of well maintained gardens and grounds.

We provide every resident with a personal care and support plan based on a thorough assessment of their needs and hold regular discussions with them about their needs and wants. This care plan is reviewed monthly, or more frequently if necessary. We try to maintain a working partnership with the resident, their relatives and friends.
Our admission process is designed to be simple and straightforward to help you make the move into our home as worry free as possible. The process can be completed very quickly if necessary, often within a few days. A referral can be made either by a local authority, a family member or by yourself. We answer the most frequently asked questions that relatives or potential residents/service users tend to ask us. Any person aged 65 years and over who no longer wants, or feels able to continue living in their own home or alone. The Knowle is a private care home, which also works closely with social services.
